The Hollyburn building consists of 127 suites and is known as Strata Corporation VR256. Constructed in 1975, the building has 13 floors with 6 two bedroom, 3 one bedroom and 1 one bedroom and den suites per floor. Situated on the western perimeter of the complex, the building is oriented for an east and west exposure. The corner suites are all two-bedroom plans ranging in size from 963 to 965 square feet. There are 2 larger two-bedroom suites found on the East Side ranging in size from 1001 to 1015 square feet. All two-bedroom plans in the building feature a 2-piece ensuite bath in addition to the 4 piece main bath. Two of the one-bedroom floor plans are found on the West Side and are 751 square feet in size. The largest one bedroom is on the East Side and is 770 square feet. A unique feature in this building is the one bedroom and den plan found on the West Side. These suites are 896 square feet and have one 4-piece bath. West facing suites have a private, treed outlook and with increasing floor height, excellent West Vancouver, Stanley Park and English Bay views. The East Side has morning sun and a pleasant garden outlook with some views of other buildings. The building has upgraded the common areas in the past few years. Hot water risers and branch lines have been replaced in a phased basis over a period of several years. In 2004, the building had a complete roof replacement. In 2008, Hollyburn began a complete repainting of the interior hallways and doors that was completed in 2009. The building exterior was pressure washed in 2008. For 2009, the owners approved a laundry room renovation and carpeting replacement at the front entrance and P1 and P2 parking entrances. For 2015, the owners are preparing for a hot and cold water plumbing replacement by engaging an engineering company to prepare specifications to allow contractors to bid on the replumbing project. Percentage of rental suites is 31% as of June 2015. There is no restriction on rentals. Two bedroom suites may have 4 residents, one bedroom may have two and the one bedroom and den suites are limited to 3 residents. The Hollyburn building shares recreation facilities with the Capilano building.
